Reference for every GuessrBot slash command: options, choices and how each game behaves.

Getting started

Every GuessrBot command is a slash command. Type / in a channel where the bot is present, pick a command from the list, and Discord asks for each option in turn.

In the usage lines, <option> must be filled before the command can be sent and [option] is optional. Choices are listed exactly as Discord shows them.

Game rules

  • Answers are typed as normal messages in the channel. Capital letters, accents, spaces and hyphens are ignored, so bresil counts for Brésil.
  • Capitals, Flags and Shapes also accept common alternative names, such as USA or UK.
  • Wrong answers cost nothing: keep typing until the 15‑second timer runs out.
  • A game covers every country of the chosen continent. It ends after the last question, or as soon as a question's timer runs out.
  • Only one game can run in a channel at a time, and each player can have only one solo game running.
  • Solo: only the player who started the game can answer.
  • Multi: the command opens a lobby with Join, Leave, Start and Cancel buttons. The host starts once at least 2 players have joined. Only players in the lobby can score, and the first correct answer takes the point: it gets a ✅, and the next question appears 2 seconds later with a reminder of the answer and who found it. A lobby that isn't started within 5 minutes closes on its own.

/shape

Starts a quiz on country outlines: a silhouette is shown and you type the country.

/anagram

Shows the scrambled letters of a country or a capital; you type the word.

Behaviour

  • 15 seconds per word.
  • Words come from the full world list: all 197 countries, or their capitals.
  • Alternative names are not accepted: type the word itself.
  • Follows the game rules.

/map

Opens a world map and gives you 15 minutes to name as many countries as you can.

Behaviour

  • Solo only. Type country names as normal messages; each country you find is highlighted on the map.
  • Use /mapstop to finish early.
  • At the end, the bot shows your result and the countries you missed.

/guess

Country of the Day: find today's mystery country with as few guesses as possible.

Behaviour

  • One country per day, the same on every server. A new one comes at midnight UTC.
  • Only you can see your game. Press Guess and type a country: each guess shows how it compares to the mystery country on population, area, number of neighbours, region, and how many borders separate them.
  • Guesses are unlimited. Run /guess again later in the day to pick up where you left off.
  • Find the country on consecutive days to build a streak. Missing a day starts it again from zero.

Stats and profile

/stat

Behaviour

  • 10 players per page. Only the person who ran the command can turn the pages.
  • Daily lists every player who has found a Country of the Day, ranked by current streak. A broken streak counts as 0, but the player stays listed with their record. Ties go to more countries found, then fewer average guesses. It is always global, whatever the scope.

Points and XP

Solo games earn XP: 5 XP per correct answer, multiplied by the game's coefficient.

  • Playing on World multiplies XP by 1.25. Anagrams always use the world list, so they always get it.
  • A perfect game, with every question answered, multiplies XP by 1.5.
  • Country of the Day (/guess) pays once a day, when you find the country: 25 XP on the first guess, 2 XP less for each extra guess (8 XP minimum), plus 1 XP per day of your streak (up to +15).

Geo Points

Multiplayer games move your Geo Points, a skill rating that rises or falls with your placement against the other players. Everyone in the lobby is ranked, including players who scored 0.

Your first 5 rated games are provisional: your own rating moves at full speed, but you weigh less on other players' points until then.
